Workshops at Translation House Looren

Translation House Looren offers opportunities for professional literary translators to undertake continuing professional development: four or five times a year, we organize workshops at the Translation House, each lasting several days.

Central to this program are our bilingual workshops. The workshops enable participants to spend a week with colleagues who work in their source and target languages, analyzing difficult translation problems and presenting their own project for discussion.

In 2012, for the first time we will be offering workshops for children and young people. In collaboration with professional literary translators and Swiss secondary schools, we are developing tailored models for projects lasting from one half-day to one week.
