At this public evening event in Rüti, translators Chen Wei, Fan Jieping, and Chen Zhuangying reported back on their work with the authors on Vierzig Rosen and Tauben fliegen auf, and gave the audience an insight into the practice of translation in China.

Glauser global: Friedrich Glauser’s translation and reception in Italy and Japan
The spring issue of Quarto went in search of the cosmopolitan Friedrich Glauser: his novels, novellas, and journalism. In conversation with Christa Baumberger, translator Gabriella de’ Grandi and literary scholar and translator Fuminari Niimoto shed light on what happens when Glauser’s work is transferred into other languages and cultural spheres.
