Celebration of the first anniversary of Translation House Looren
September 16, 2006
Our central event was a presentation of the "Historisches Lexikon der Schweiz". Work on this "human history of our country" in the four national languages has been underway for almost twenty years, and in its creation the cultural identities of the language regions have played just as important a role as the coining of new terms or the linguistically creative aspects of translation.
Marco Jorio, chief editor of the "Historisches Lexikon der Schweiz," Lucienne Hubler, editor of the French editorial office, and Martin Kuder were speaking about their work on this remarkable translation project.
