
Residency at Translation House Looren
Translation House Looren in Wernetshausen (Switzerland) offers translators the opportunity to carry out projects in a picturesque, rural setting. Eight single and two double rooms, all with private bathrooms, telephone, internet access and their own computer, are available. Amenities include a garden, a large living/dining area, a common kitchen and a reference library geared to translators' needs, complete with photocopiers, printers and a fax machine.
Translation House Looren is a non-smoking establishment.

Requirements for an application
In order to be considered for a residency you must be a literary translator with at least one substantial published work; and you must be under contract for your current project.
Costs
The weekly fee is CHF 25 (€ 15). This fee does not include food, telephone calls, printing, faxing or copying. Guests are also responsible for all travel costs.
Subsidies are available in limited amounts. (see: "Grants")
Visa
Should your visit to Switzerland require a visa, Translation House Looren will assist you with formalities.
In conjunction with your application we request that you include a brief curriculum vitae and a copy of your publishing contract.
